can i start my briggs and stratton 5hp if it has cylinder streaking?

I have a briggs and stratton 5hp that seized up because pieces of the head gasket fell in the cylider from being over torqued. i put oil in the cylinder and let it sit for a day and it moved freely. The cylinder wall does have streaking and i was wondering if i could just clean it up and put it back together and use it.
If by streaking you mean discoloration, no problem. If you mean gouges, galls or grooves you should ream, or at least hone the cylinder wall to remove any sharp edges that may damage the rings. The engine may turn over easy now but when the components heat up from combustion the clearance can change drastically.

One of my generators running. PepBoys 1200w Peak (850w rated). It’s quiet compared to other larger units and actually has a good sized muffler.
I wouldn’t run it overnight in a city neighborhood but, it’s quiet enough for day use. It’s has a two stroke 2hp gasoline engine that requires a 50:1 oil premix. And, it’s quite small. Compare it to the shop lamp in the video for size.

Briggs & Stratton riding mower only runs when spraying carb cleaner in?

We have a Yardman mower with a Briggs & Stratton engine that is having problems. It will only run when carb cleaner is sprayed in, but once you stop spraying it, it shuts off. What could be the problem? If it is the carb, what actual store (not online) can I go to that sells carbs for Briggs and Stratton? Thanks!
The first and easiest thing to check is the fuel supply line. Get a small glass container, pull the fuel line to the carb and put it over the container. Spray the carb cleaner in the carb and turn the engine over. You should get a good flow of fuel into the container. If you don’t, then you are not getting fuel to the carb. Start checking the hoses for cracks and see if the filter is plugged. If you do get fuel to the carb, then most likely your carb has some trash in it or the needle valve is stuck.
