my briggs & stratton lawnmower won’t stay on?

it starts and cuts grass for maybe about 2 minutes and stops…it is a push mower , a quaintium power 5 horse power what do you think the problem is

Well if you clean your magnetto ( The part under where you pull your cord) of rust , dirt whatever with a fine sandpaper that’ll usually cure most minor problems. Also before you do anything at all, tip your machine on it’s side momentarily while it is not running and with a pair of gloves on grab the blade of the mower and jiggle it back and forth, if it feels a bit sloppy ( new ones have virtually no play there) then your bearings are wore and you’d just be throwing away good money

sounds like old gas, if the gas is more than two weeks old, empty the tank and put some fresh gas from the station in there.

Is either Fuel(Dirty, fuel blockage etc) or a spark problem
See you local repair shop
If you ever want to wiggle, move etc the blades by hand Disconnect the spark plug first because IF the engine kicks over its bye bye hand. No pair of gloves will stop that
