Eureka, South Dakota state of emergency

Power has been restored to the city of Eureka, officials say.

The McPherson County town had been without power since Thursday or Friday, Mayor Mark Opp said. As a result, he said, city officials declared a state of emergency earlier this morning.

Opp said the town’s water supply is frozen and that the WEB Water is in danger of freezing, but a generator is being brought in to help prevent that.

Crews helping to repair power lines downed during last week’s ice storm did not make much progress Monday because of blizzard conditions. Tuesday, though, they have fared better in calmer weather.

Emergency Solar Power Setup SHTF

This is my 45 watt solar panel setup. I purchased this kit from Harbor freight for about $200. I use it for lighting in my home, as well different power tools around the house. This is a great source of power in the event of power failures (which happens often).

Mayor of Pittsburgh, Calls out National Guard for Snow Emergency !

The mayor of Pittsburgh, Luke Ravenstahl, in conjunction with the governor, calls out the national guard to now “patrol the streets of Pittsburgh,” because of a “SNOW EMERGENCY !” Talk about “MISSON CREEP & FASCISM,” it was fine to help those stranded, without power, broken down,
in elderly high rises without power. But now their additional duties are to “help patrol the streets & back up Pittsburgh Police,” that goes too far. What about “Posse Comitatus ?” What about our rights ? I’ll have more soon. I can’t get around too well. This is insane & a misuse of power & the national guard. Since it seems they will be acting in conjunction with local police & be used as military police. A clear violation of the “Posse Comitatus Act of 1878.”

Can I run a emergency headlight and tail light strobes power to my cigarette lighter?

I am a firefighter and these lights will help alot. the instructions it came with are garbage so i was wondering if i can wire it to the cigarette lighter. if not how can i hook them up.
